I'm Just Sayin'

I just couldn't let this pass...Mike Huckabee has stated that he and he alone is the candidate with the ultimate understanding of our "war on terror".  Allow me to insert a quote of the remark the Reverend made in an interview on Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network:   “People look at my record and say that I’m as strong on immigration, strong on terror as anybody. In fact I think I’m stronger than most people because I truly understand the nature of the war that we are in with Islamo fascism. These are people that want to kill us. It’s a theocratic war. And I don’t know if anybody fully understands that. I’m the only guy on that stage with a theology degree. I think I understand it really well.”

This makes all the sense in the world...doesn't it?? Certainly it gives Reverend Mike better credentials than Rudy to lead our country. Rudy thinks he is the best man for president because he is the only candidate to be the mayor of a city that has been attacked by terrorists. That's a very compelling argument, but when compared to John McCain's qualification...I don't know. McCain is the only candidate to have been a POW. Hilary was married to a president. Certainly she learned enough from Bill to be a good president....she has learned weaselness. Ya'll heard about Hilary planting a person to ask her pre-planned questions at a public appearance in Iowa?  I think Fred Thompson has the best credentials though. Fred played the part of the president in an HBO movie! And...the movie, "Last Best Chance" was about a planned terrorist attack. For me, that trumps everybody else hands down.     

I have another point of interest...at least I think this is interesting. Now we all know that Pat Robertson has a direct line to God. God talks to Pat, Pat talks to God...they are really tight. God gives Pat exclusive insight and inside information. We know this because Pat tells us so. Well...God told Pat that Rudy should be our president. This blew my mind! I mean we have a preacher and a Mormon and several (the rest of them) Christians running...why would God tell Reverend Pat to endorse Rudy? Rudy has endorsed rights for gays , and has other un-gospel like ideals and has done a bunch...a bunch... of un-gospel like stuff. Very mysterious. I know, I know. God works in mysterious ways. We can never truly understand God's ways or intentions. Only Pat can and he hasn't determined that we need to know more about God's reason for his endorsement of Rudy. The suspense is killin' me though. I have an inquiring mind. I can understand Pat not endorsing Mitt. Everybody knows the Mormons have it all wrong...I mean they even think part of the Bible is incorrect. And maybe God knows things about the other candidates...little sins and such that they haven't yet squared up with him. But golly gee...Rudy Giuliani?

I know one thing about the election that no one can dispute. No matter who wins the election...no matter who becomes our next president... we will be better off than we are now.
