This is the idiot, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) who forced a resolution onto the House floor, putting the House on record stating that Christmas and Christians are important. If somebody gave me five hundred pictures of people I've never seen and asked me to pick out the picture of the one person most likely to introduce a resolution before the House that states that the House thinks Christmas is important...this is the guy I would have picked. I would have been right. Look into his eyes....wonder what else is churning around in that little brain? If I had been asked if such a resolution would pass...I'd would have said yes and I would have been right again. Here is a quote from Rep. King :
“I recognized that we’re a Christian nation founded on Christian principles, and we’re coming up to Christmastime…. It’s time we stood up and said so, and said to the rest of America, Be who you are and be confident. And let’s worship Christ and let’s celebrate Christmas for the right reasons.”
A few representative voted against this measure...nine Democrats... and a few more didn't vote at all. But the measure passed. Why? For two reasons... intimidation for one reason...like mindedness for the other reason. Both of these reasons for passing such a bullshit resolution are indications of just how screwed up our government has become.
I feel so powerless this morning. I feel as though we, as a whole, have passed the point of no return... to sanity that is. Please allow me the favor of factoring myself out of this madness...I don't want to be with out reason. I don't want to live without logic. I don't want to throw myself into the company of those who would live under a blanket of fear while wearing a self righteous bigot's expression of disdain for those who don't see things as they see them.
But I stray. My endeavor this morning is to poke fun at or ridicule Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa). What a Bozo...what a ding bat. What a dumb ass! There you go.
