I'm Just Sayin'

Christian presidential platform? What the hell is going on? Is the assumption that in order the win the Presidency of the United States of America, one must be a God's fearing man or woman? Is this what it's boiled down to? And has it really boiled down to what particular religion that God fearing candidate is associated...? I mean it is  very apparent that many evangelical Christians  would never vote for Mitt Romney... too many differences of opinions about the bible. The Republicans have become a party of loud but focused Christians who are hell bent and glory bound to get a Christian...another (like minded)  Christian into the office of the presidency. This is spectacularly anti Constitutional but the Evangelical Christians, the  ECs don't care.  They have been empowered by God and with the  force of God. They don't need no stinkin' Constitution...they've got the stinkin' Bible.

The power these zealots wield is considerable. Here's what happens. Take a look at a bunch of plain vanilla,  Sunday only Christians. Consider that most of these folks go to church because they think they are supposed to go to church...any ole reason will do, their wife or brother or mom or dad asked them to go, or their golf buddies all leave for the big green space from church or the business contact thing, or the kids need to be on a soccer team...or it doesn't matter what their thought process, other than there is not really very much thought process by these sheep like people  in the first place. They'll do what everyone else does. Now into the lives of these simple minded folk enters a Christian, Bible quoting, God fearing presidential candidate. At this point, nothing else matters to the sheep like people...no other isssues, no other policies, no other points of debate about the future of our country and how best to attain fainess and equality for all... only that the vote must be for God...for God, in the name of God and for his power and wisdom...something like that. In the opinion of the ECs, God is SUPPOSED to be in office.

And so...a few ECs multiply their votes with the use of  Sheep Christians. The SCs are so easily herded. My hope here is that the sane  folks of the world will both out number the ECs and the SCs and that the sane folks, SFs, will remember to vote. ECs speak louder than SFs...SFs must out vote the ECs. A lot is being written about this situation. Are the ECs being exposed as a very dangerous special interest group? Are we paying attention? I don't know... but I sure hope we are.
